In The Hungry Sailors, Celebrity Masterchef finalist, engineer, grower and sailor Dick Strawbridge and his sailing son James board a double masted schooner to explore the food of Britain’s coastal towns.
Aided by a small tender that allows them access to rivers feeding down to the coast, Dick and James meet the chefs, home cooks, fishermen, producers and foragers who make a trip to the seaside such a memorable eating experience.
Dick and James can be seen visiting The Watercress Company during their trip, where they met with Tom Amery and Tim Jesty to learn about how watercress is grown, and to cook a meal using watercress as an ingredient. See the whole episode on the ITV Player or watch an edited version below.
